NEW PROYECT OF SPECIAL DISIGN STUDIO

New website launched for the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts

Designed and built by Special Design Studio, we are delighted that the newly launchedwebsite for the Sainsbury Centre delivers a much improved experience to both physical visitors to the centre and those who visit online. From ticket booking and visit planning, to a richer experience of objects and exhibitions with videos, resources and wall texts available online. Our challenge was to create a structure which shows off the art works without being distracting in itself. We also wanted to create strong links to the unique architecture of the Centre. We have used a grid which is taken from the architectural design of the building (by architect Norman Foster), we have also echoed some of the physical wayfinding icons on the site. Needless to say we are thrilled to be working with the Sainsbury Centre and think it is a great reflection on the health of the creative industries here in Norwich and for more on that subject read our blog!
